Hungary says disagrees even with partial Russian nuclear sanctions

BUDAPEST, Apr 24 (PRIME) -- Hungary disagrees even with partial sanctions against the Russian nuclear power sector, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Monday.

"My colleagues from the Baltic States asked whether… we could introduce some sanctions against (Russian) nuclear power – no, we cannot. We cannot do this even a bit," the minister said.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis earlier suggested gradual sanctions with a delay to finish the Hungarian projects.

Szijjarto also said that the German government had not allowed Siemens to supply equipment for the Paks-2 nuclear power plant although no sanctions were introduced against the Russian nuclear power sector.
